The challenges facing Europe and Bulgaria were the focus of the meeting of Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov with the Bulgarian Members of the European Parliament from all political groups in Strasbourg. The Prime Minister met Bulgaria’s MEPs prior to his talks with the heads of the European institutions.
Consolidation of European unity, the EU single market, energy security and common security and defense were likewise discussed at the meeting. Bulgaria must return to the center of political processes in Europe, the Prime Minister said further. The agenda of the discussion included, inter alia, Bulgaria’s accession to the Eurozone and the implementation of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP).
Rossen Jeliazkov noted that his ongoing visit to Strasbourg, the Prime Minister’s first visit abroad, seeks to strengthen, with practical actions, Bulgaria’s clear affiliation with the European family. The will to achieve results can guarantee success for our country, Mr. Jeliazkov said firmly.
