Peace and solidarity must be continuously promoted globally. That was the understanding shared by Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov and the Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew when they met today in New York where Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov is as the head of the Bulgarian delegation for the 80th regular session of the UN General Assembly.
At the meeting Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov discussed with the Ecumenical Patriarch the commitment of the Church to the current problems of mankind, the future of children and the conservation of nature. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of human virtues and faith as a pillar and a source of wisdom.
Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew congratulated Prime Minister Rossen Jeliazkov on Bulgaria’s success – the accession to the Eurozone, and wished success, peace, prosperity and happiness to the Bulgarian people.
